For International Blog Delurking Week. What did you think was late? My period?! BWAAAHAHAAHA!!!
Sheooooot I don't even know what cycle day I'm on, but I know it's way too early to see that bitch! You've just entered TTC vacation territory friend, and let me tell you the water is warmer than my belly after a lovely glass of Vodka neat.
Follow me, I'll give you the nickel tour... On my left we have a Yoga class where I won't have to worry about squishing or distressing a potential fetus. Followed by books that have nothing to do with infertility or trying to get pregnant. After that there is a glass, and sometimes even a half a bottle of wine. Red or White. Depends on what I'm cooking. Then on my right, we have a modest amount of soft cheeses, (cause I'm trying to watch my girlish figure) but dayum I forgot how good Feta tastes on a salad. And the grand finale of: Idon'thavetaplantherestofmymontharoundpoppingpillsorgettingintostirrups.
So far this break is going SO much better than I had anticipated. Every day I feel better and better. I've really been able to focus in on everything I enjoyed before my life was consumed by Infertility. You might remember the list I created a few weeks ago when I talked about the things I would do to better myself if I had to take a break? Well I'm proud to say that I have made a reasonable dent in that list.
1. Donate Blood: I'm going in on Saturday. I'm O+.
2. Lose some weight: Already going well, I've lost about three pounds to date. I'll be putting up a ticker shortly to help keep myself motivated.
3. Try Yoga. Started on Monday - it's great. Would you believe that Brian is doing the class with me? I really think it's going to be great for him as well.
4. Mend my broken heart. She's getting there. Today is probably the best one so far. Not for any particular reason. I just feel good. But I am completely aware that I still have a very long road ahead of me.
5. Read More. I have three new books, and three that have been at my house for MONTHS that I never got around too. I've started one, so I'm going to do my best to get as far as I can this weekend. I'm a sloooooooow reader, so I know I won't be able to finish it by Monday.
So anyway, back to the topic at hand. Delurking. We're all guilty of it. Please give me a little wave just to let me know you're there. You don't have to leave a monologue, just a simple "present" will do. Or you can recommend another book for me to read.
And I promise to do some delurking as well.

If you haven't read the "Twilight" series yet (because you're hiding under a rock or something), I highly recommend it. I used to teach reading, and a former student showed it to me an swore I just HAD to read it. I stayed up until 3 am with the first one! Don't let all the hype detract you -- cheesy movies and posters aside, the books are FANTASTIC (I even gave the set to my Mom for Christmas --she's on the fourth one already!).
As for the rest, enjoy your break. The hubs and I had to take several breaks on our journey, for both financial and emotional reasons. Breaks are good, as they keep you sane.
Lots of hugs coming your way,
Jo
{{HELLO}}. I've been a lurker for a while. Glad you seem to be doing better...and your break sounds fabulous. There's nothing like feta cheese and great wine to keep a girl happy. Good luck!
I might have commented once before, but I am largely a lurker here.
I am glad that you have found some ways to enjoy the break. I am just coming to the end of a multi-month break and your post has made me realize I have not fully embraced the soft cheese situation. Mmmmm.
I am glad to hear from you - always.
Melissa - what a cruel title! I actually thought you might have meant your period and got excited! Way to dash this infertile girl's hopes for the day ;) (haha, just kidding...)
Love, love, love that you are enjoying your break and the things you have been accomplishing. And that there are more and more good days. xxoo
*waving*...and my reading material has been incredibly dry of late. Will come back later to see what kind of suggestions you get.
Hello there! *wave* Just saying hi... And I would recommend The Hunger Games and it's sequal, Catching Fire. They're like a mix between The Running Man and Survivor... Very easy read, but very intense and exciting! :)
I love the ways your enjoyed your break! I agree with another commenter -- read the Twilight books. They are total fluff and completely absurd but you will feel like a little kid because you can't put them down!
I'm glad you are having a good day and feeling good... hearing that made my day just a little better, too. :)
Hi Melissa! Glad to hear your break's going well. Drink a glass of wine for me!
De"lurking" and wishing you good things this year! During this TTC portion of my life I can not read anything too depressing so I am opting for a lot of mysteries, I feel like I am 13 and reading Nancy Drew again :-)
I'm here!
Glad the break is going ok.
Glad your break is treating you gently! Damn, feta on a salad sounds good...
Giiiiirl, I aint no lurker, I'm a regular! And I love you!
And I LOVE where you "are" right now. Go enjoy the crap out of all those delights that pregos must avoid (your time will come soon enough where you too will have to abstain ;-) ).
Happy weekend, my friend!
Hi - I just found your blog and wanted to say hello. Feel free to check out my blog and our equally sucky infertility story. I don't have any books to recommend, but enjoy your break. It is well deserved.
Waving hi! I've commented a few times, but read all the time. I'm not sure what you have read, I'm currently reading Julie and Julia and it is pretty good.
Glad you are enjoying you break. Hopefully I only post once-I'm on my blackberry and it is doing something funny.
