Can't Fight These Feelings

I've had a few inquiries as to how I'm feeling, and whether or not I'm getting any pregnancy related symptoms. The answer unfortunately, is no. I am however feeling a BUTTLOAD of side effects from the Promet.rium. I wasn't originally going to look them up because I was afraid it would only fuel the fire of obsessive speculation, but I had to check it out today because I've been experiencing some weird shit.

Oh, let's start with my favorite:
  • Oral and Vaginal dryness - There's likely no need for me to elaborate on this one. It's about as awesome as it sounds.
  • Acne - My skin is not exactly fantastic to begin with, so the new monster zits that have showed up on my neck and boobs are just icing on the pockmarked cake.
  • Anxiety and insomnia - For a second I though I was loosing my mind. The last 5 or six nights I have slept like absolute shit. I'm totally restless and keeping having ridiculous dreams where I'm worried about things like whether or not Madison from Mill.ion Doll.ar Lis.ting made the right decision in lowering the price of the Malibu house by 600k. Absurd, just absurd.
  • Frequent Urination - It's probably because I'm drinking tons water in a futile attempt to quench my severe cotton mouth, but cheeseandcrackers folks! I have to pee ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY. And night too! But that doesn't really bother me because it's not like I'm busy sleeping at 2:36am ANY DAMN WAY.
  • Heartburn - After Every. Single. Meal. Without Fail.

So there it is. That's everything I'm feeling. Oh and 'the girls' are still quiet. Not the slightest bit of soreness. Which is still fine with me. Sigh. I have no better idea of whether or not it worked this time, than I have the last three times. But there's still hope. At least I have that.

I'm 13dpo.

Oops I forgot to mention whether I was going to test or not. How about Saturday morning? Yikes.

Welcome to the wonderful world of s/e from drugs!

I'm so sorry you're feeling like that, M. These things can be a pain.

Just wanted to say, don't worry too much about symptoms. I was sure I was getting my period this cycle because the cramps were killing me! As you can see, symptoms don't necessarily mean anything when your body is hijacked by drugs.

Still very much hoping this is it for you!

I need to go back to m old posts, but if I recall correctly the girls were painfree after the DIUI. I was convinced it didn't work.

Keeping everything crossed for you!

Analyzing symptoms is kind of maddening, isn't it?! Of course, I'm hoping this is it for you. Are you going to test or are you just waiting it out?

I'm hopeful for you! When are you planning to test?

I am sorry if I am adding unwanted fuel to the fire... BUT I think those are pretty promising! Prometrium never gave me that long of a list of side effects... I never had most of those until the BFP missy!

Doesn't Dr. Google just suck sometimes?

I'm sorry about all the side effects. They are like heat pumps (they constantly blow).

I, myself am a go.ogle addict!

When do you plan to test or go in for your BPT? I hope this works for you!

Friggin 2WW. I'm convinced there is no way one cannot go a little crazy during that time. I know it's hard to discern drug S/E from pregnancy S/E, but its encouraging you are feeling a LOT of things I did. Chin up!!!

Thanks for you comment today - and I don't mind the advice! I haven't been tested for insulin resistance yet, only because I am not overweight. It is probably coming soon though and something I have discussed with my doc. We'll see.

I like your blog, you make me laugh! I'll be awaiting your results this cycle, good luck!

I've been on prometrium in the past and I can tell you that the symptoms you have now are going to take the place of any you might be experiencing otherwise. I'd sit back, relax, and let Dr. EPT tell you wuzzup Saturday. Fingers Crossed!

Prometrium never fails to make me feel drunk, literally the room starts spinning and it drives me crazy.

My fingers are crossed for you!

Um.... isn't it at all possible those are pregnancy symptoms, and not drug side effects? I mean, pg affects everyone differently, and from what the mommies tell me, frequent urination, acne, and heartburn are definitely on the list.

I'm just sayin'...

Ugh, the prometrium is awful!!! My biggest side effect from it was eating EVERYTHING in sight...I was never satisfied.

They say the sore boobs usually don't start until after the BFP...

Sooooo, fingers crossed that you are having preggo symptoms!!! Good luck on Saturday and keep us updated:)

Am so holding my breath for you on Saturday morning!

Sending all *positive* vibes and little prayers!

My big side effect from progesterone suppositories was what I refer to as the "Progesterone Weepies". At some point, I would cry -- over anything, a "beautiful fluffy cloud passing over the sky"..."a flower bud opening"...that kinda thing. :) Every time.

But...no noticeable side effects from the progesterone ass shots. Huh.

FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED FOR YOU, LADY!!

Hey Melissa! Are you hanging in there?

I have had cramping off and on since about 6DPO. I am still getting cramps that feel like AF is coming, which is scary. They are worse when my bladder is full too. But in realty I felt very much like I do before AF arrives, with a few ambiguous and occasional "extra" symptoms.

Good luck with your test tomorrow. I always have major test anxiety when POAS; HATE the trepidation!! I made C go in and get it afterwards, but he didn't know what it meant.

I said a prayer for you tonight. Best of luck!
